Thomas Jenkins Elected New Chairman of AdvantageWest

Asheville Regional Airport, N.C. – AdvantageWest Economic Development Group CEO Dale Carroll, today announced the committee nomination and unanimous election of a new Chairman, Thomas Jenkins, during a special called meeting. “Tommy” Jenkins of Franklin, has a diverse background in both the N.C. House and Senate and currently is a broker for Nikwasi Real Estate Group. Once elected, Chairman Jenkins thanked former Chairman Myers, “for his fourteen years of guidance and tireless service to the 19-member Board of Directors”.

AdvantageWest CEO Dale Carroll said, “The Board and Staff know that Chairman Jenkins will do an outstanding job as Chairman. As a founding member Chairman Jenkins has been incredibly active and engaged in everything that our organization accomplishes, and with the support of former Chairman Myers who will remain a member of our Board, we will continue to serve the people of Western North Carolina.”
